Born from French parents, Frédéric Weber grew up in Montreal, Quebec.

Frédéric attended the ‘École de musique Vincent-D’Indy’ and later Concordia University where he studied composition under the supervision of M. Allen Crossman and harmony with M. Wolfgang Bottenberg. He also attended some courses with M. Alen Belkin at ‘Université de Montréal’ while perfecting his education in a self-taught way.

He played keyboards and was a music composer/arranger in various bands for a few years before choosing a new orientation as a music composer for modern dance choreographies. Subsequently, he moved on to create music for the small screen and for various movies (Documentary and Fiction).

Since then, He has composed and orchestrated music for various productions aired around the world mainly in Europe, Canada, United States and Asia.

His music can be heard in more than 300 broadcastings, 30 movies and 6 ballets.

Frédéric Weber is a two time SOCAN national prize recipiendary given to the most performed Canadian composer working in films and television.
